SSD Claims Lawyer
Getting People the Disability Benefits They Deserve
The above headline pretty much sums up what I do, and what my law firm is about. My legal career started in 1997. Back then, I was not a lawyer but had been trained to serve as a representative for people who were seeking disability benefits. In 2000, I graduated from law school and began handling Social Security Disability (SSD) and Supplemental Security Income (SSI) claims as an actual attorney.
What I can tell you, based on this experience, is that while I did the best I could for people as a non-lawyer representative — the education and training I received in becoming a lawyer has made me much more effective in helping people succeed with their SSD and SSI cases. In fact, the difference is night and day.
This is what I’ve been trained to do as an attorney, and it’s all I’ve done my entire career. Use the link below to learn more about me and the professional qualifications I have to offer.
Handling SSI and SSD Claims Throughout Central Indiana
In my practice today, I represent clients throughout the central Indiana region. I help people complete initial applications for benefits (something many law firms don’t do). I handle appeals of denied claims (and most claims are denied at first). I handle federal disability appeals as well (again, something many law firms don’t do).
Taking the Time to Do the Job Right
I work directly with each of my clients from start to finish. This takes time but I believe it’s important. One reason is that it gives me the chance to get to know who your are and understand what your situation is. This, in turn, helps me represent you more effectively. I also take time to work with my clients’ doctors and help them understand the very precise medical definitions used by the SSA and the importance of medical documentation and evidence in these cases.
The bottom line is that you can count on me, as your advocate, to put in the time and effort it takes.
